She made her debut with Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Tamil, 2010) and Ye Maya Chesave(Telugu, 2010) for which she received Twice Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. She is a recipient of several awards including four Filmfare Awards and IIFA Utsavam Awards for Best Actress.
