Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati known as Prabhas is an Indian film actor who mainly works in Telugu film industries. Prabhas made his film debut with the 2002 drama film Eeswar. He also debuted in Bollywood with his big budget movie Saaho in the year 2019.

Prabhas was born on 23rd October, 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father name Late Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju, who was a film producer and his mother Siva Kumari. He has an elder brother Pramod Uppalapati and sister Pragathi. His uncle is Telugu actor Krishnam Raju Uppalapati.

He did his schooling from DNR School, Bhimavaram and he completed his B. Tech degree from Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad. He won the state award, the Nandi Award for Best Actor, for his role in Mirchi. Prabhas is the first South Indian actor to have his wax statue at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

He worked in many films viz. Eeswar, Varsham, Chatrapati, Munna, Billa, Bujjigadu, Ek Niranjan, Darling, Mr. Perfect, Rebel, Mirchi, Baahubali - The Begining, Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion, Saaho, etc.
