Jamshad Cethirakath known as his stage name Arya, is an Indian film actor and producer, who mainly works in Tamil films. He made his screen debut with  Vishnuvardhan's Arinthum Ariyamalum in the year 2005. He produced many films in Tamil & Malayalam industry also.

Arya was born on 11 December, 1980 in Trikaripur, Kerala, India. His father name Umar Cethirakath, who is a Restaurateur and former footballer and his mother Jameela Cetirakath. He has two brothers named Sathya Cethirakath and Razi Cethirakath. His younger brother Sathya has also appeared in Tamil films.

He did his schooling in SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He then graduated with an engineering degree from Crescent Engineering College in Vandalur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, india. Arya has won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut South and received two nominations each for Filmfare Awards and Vijay Awards.

He had worked in many films viz. Ullam Ketkumae, Kalabha Kadhalan, Vattaram, Oram Po, Naan Kadavul, Sarvam, Varudu, Madrasapattinam, Urumi, Vettai, Raja Rani, Arrambam, Jeeva, Meaghamann, Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga, Size Zero, The Great Father, Kadamban, Rajaratha, etc.
