Ravi Teja is an Indian film actor mainly works in Telugu cinema. He is widely considered one of the most popular and highest paid actors of Telugu cinema. He made his on-screen debut with the film Karthavyam in 1990 as a supporting role.

He won the Nandi Special Jury Award in 1999 and 2002 for his performance in the films Nee Kosam and Khadgam and also won the state Nandi Award for best actor for his film Neninthe in 2008. He has also worked as an assistant director for several Telugu films.

Ravi Teja was born on 26 January, 1968 in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father Bhupatiraju Rajagopala Raju and mother Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju. His father is a pharmacist and his mother is a homemaker. He has two younger brothers Bharath Raju and Raghu Raju.

Ravi Teja completed his schooling at N.S.M. Public School, Vijayawada. Later on he completed his Bachelors in Arts at Siddhartha Degree College, Vijayawada. In 1988 he went to Chennai to start his career in films.

He had worked in many films viz. Nee Kosam, Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Bhadra, Dubai Seenu, Krishna, Kick, Don Seenu, Balupu, Power, Kick2, Bengal Tiger, Raja The Great, Touch Chesi Chudu, Nela Ticket, Amar Akbar Antony, etc.
