Shruti Haasan is an Indian film actress and singer who mainly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She was born to the prominent Haasan family. She has received three Filmfare Awards.

She made her acting debut in the movie name Hey Ram (2000) as a child actor. She made her Bollywood debut as a lead Actress in the movie named Luck in the year 2009. Her Telugu debut was in the movie named Anaganaga O Dheerudu (2011) and her Tamil debut was 7aum Arivu (2011).

Shruti Haasan was born on 28 January, 1986 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father actor Kamal Haasan and mother actress Sarika Thakur. Her father is a Tamil , while her mother Sarika was born to a Maharashtrian father and Rajput mother. She has a younger sister Akshara Haasan, who is also an actress and represented India nationally for Ballroom Latin dancing.

She studied at Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao school, Chennai & Abacus Montessori School, Chennai. She completed her college at St. Andrew’s College, Mumbai. Her Highest Education Qualification is “ Graduate in Psychology “.
