Darshan Thoogudeepa known as Darshan is an Indian film actor , producer and distributor who mainly works in the Kannada film industry . The son of actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas , he began his acting career appearingin soap operasand in bit roles infilms starting in the mid-1990s. His first film in alead role came in the 2002 film Majestic.

One of the leading contemporary actors of Kannada cinema, Darshan has forayed into film production and distribution. He established the production house Thoogudeepa Productions, in 2006,which has since been asuccessful commercial venture.

Darshan was born on 15 February, 1977 in Ponnampet, Kodagu, Karnatka, India. His Father Thoogudeepa Srinivas, actor and his mother Meena. He has a brother named Dinakar Thogudeepa, film director, screenwriter & producer and a sister named Divya.

As a child, he studied his primaryand secondary education at Mysure. Before enteringin to films, he appearedin few tele-serials and tele-shows. He married to Vijaya Lakshmi in 2000. The couple blessed with a son named Vineesh.
